On December 10, 2019, TentProject unveiled a remarkable achievement—the construction of a fully mobile ice rink in Eastern Europe. This prestigious project required the design of a modular arena that could be assembled and disassembled annually, without the need for foundations or heavy load-bearing systems.
Collaborating with top contractors for decoration and ice installation, TentProject designed the impressive 2100/10/10 arena module. Measuring 30 by 70 meters with a striking height of 11 meters, the total area of the structure exceeded 2,000 square meters. It is capable of accommodating up to 12000 visitors per day. Engineered for exceptional durability, the structure can withstand wind gusts of up to 30 m/s, all without needing additional weight-bearing support.
The rink includes several specialized zones to enhance its functionality. A dedicated structure with an additional 50 sqm 10x5 module gate houses the ice resurfacing machine, while a double-insulated 400 sqm 10x40 module provides space for changing rooms, skate rentals, a café, and a turnstile area. A heated passage connects the visitor service areas to the rink, ensuring seamless access in all weather conditions. Each of these components was meticulously designed by engineers and architects to ensure optimal performance and comfort for all visitors.
To achieve a balance of strength and sophistication, we employed premium hot-dip galvanized steel and high-performance fabrics from the renowned Mehler Texnologies, ensuring both longevity and aesthetic appeal. With heated flooring and rubber mats for skaters, every detail was designed with luxury and comfort in mind.
Delivered on time and with precision, the ice rink has since earned global recognition, being listed among the world's most beautiful skating venues—a true testament to TentProject’s commitment to excellence. Additionally, the rink was awarded for being the largest enclosed ice rink in Eastern Europe, further highlighting our dedication to delivering exceptional projects.
