Custom Formula 1 pop-up exhibition stand based on the Dome Tent
For the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Sochi, the TentProject team designed, manufactured, and installed a pop-up exhibition stand, transforming a standard tent into a fully immersive motorsport experience. This project went beyond traditional event structures, requiring a detailed approach to engineering, branding, and visitor interaction.
Our dome tent served as a bolide simulator zone, allowing guests to experience the thrill of Formula 1 racing. Inside the stand, a professional racing simulator with a multi-screen setup recreated the Sochi Autodrom track with exceptional precision. Additionally, a full-scale Formula 1 car mock-up was installed, providing visitors with an up-close look at race car aerodynamics and design. To ensure stability, a custom-built podium structure made of timber and plywood served as both a foundation and a counterweight, guaranteeing the stand’s safety even in challenging weather conditions.
The dome tent structure was engineered with durability and functionality in mind. An elevated podium improved visibility and accessibility, while blackout PVC walls, with UV resistant properties, ensured optimal lighting conditions for the simulator. The reinforced aluminum framework allowed for the seamless integration of branding, lighting, audio equipment and digital installations.
